Dartmouth Women Outlast Princeton, 7-5

The Dartmouth and Princeton Women's teams both came into this past Saturday's match with expectations of a tough, brutal game decided by defense. Neither team could have imagined just how accurate those expectations would be. Featuring a second half completely devoid of scoring by either team and some of the best defensive play either division of the Ivy Rugby Conference has seen this year, the match between Dartmouth and Princeton ended in the Big Green's favor, 7-5.

Cornell Women Over Penn 87-5

Cornell has been the team to beat in the Ivy Rugby Conference's Southern Division this fall, and after their 33-12 win over Princeton this past Saturday it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon. Don't let the 21-point margin of victory fool you, however - Princeton played tough all game, and stymied the Cornell offense for much of the first half of play.

Harvard @ Dartmouth (W)

Harvard Women’s Varsity Rugby entered the first week of Ivy Rugby Conference Tier I play with a mixed record and a few question marks.  An easy win against Yale in last week’s cross-tier Ivy match-ups boosted confidence, but the previous week’s tough pre-season loss to varsity rival Quinnipiac and a disappointing loss to Ivy rival Dartmouth in the Ivy Rugby Playoffs last April loomed in recent memory.
