Dartmouth Remains Unbeaten, Beats Brown 55-0

Providence, RI – Dartmouth traveled to Providence this weekend for its final match of the fall XVs season.  Brown had been a tough opponent in the past, climbing up the ranks of the Ivy North to give Dartmouth a run for their money in the 2012 campaign. Knowing the Bears to be a worthy foe, Dartmouth went into the match looking to put into play the systems they’d worked on over the course of the fall and finish the Ivy XVs season on a strong note.  The Big Green established control in the first half and never looked back on their way to a 55-3 victory.

Harvard Over Princeton 36-0

After an impressive and shocking 57-7 win over Brown on October 5, the Harvard Women's team was able to enjoy a week off last week. Harvard put the rest to good use against the physical Tigers shutting them out 36-0.

While Princeton wasn't able to put a mark in the "W" column after their game last week, they showed a lot of determination and solid defensive play while only losing by 2. . Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00am this Saturday at Harvard's Soldiers Field Park.

To say that the Yale Men's Rugby Team has had a rough Fall season would be an understatement. The Bulldogs enter this Saturday's match with an 0-5 record and 0 points in the standings. Harvard is coming to New Haven with a 3-2 record and is hoping to replicate the success they had against Brown last week. While they are 11 points back of undefeated Dartmouth in the standings, Harvard will look to put some more points on the board and stay as the second place team in the Ivy Rugby Conference's North Division. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm at Yale Rugby Pitch.

Princeton Men Beat Penn in Ivy Rugby South Upset

Coming into this week's action, the Princeton Tigers had an 0-4 record despite some solid play throughout the year. They knew they had to be on their A game with 2nd place Penn coming to town, and just from looking at the final score it's obvious that they were - the Tigers topped Penn by a score of 20-14.

Dartmouth Women 64, Yale 0

The Dartmouth women looked as though they couldn’t quite wake up from their 3 hour nap on the early-Sunday morning bus ride to New Haven.  The Elis, on the other hand, were quite ready to take the field, coming out with more intensity and aggression than their visitors, and spending the first 15 minutes of this cross-tier match with most of the possession.

The USA Rugby Trust and Rugby PA will welcome the New Zealand Maori All Blacks and the USA Rugby Eagles to town with a special gathering on Thursday evening Nov 7th beginning at 7:00pm. Come meet the some of the best rugby players in the world at the Union League of Philadelphia.

Enjoy hors d'oeuvers and a hosted bar while you get a chance for an up cloase and personal meet and greet with the players from the New Zealand Maori All Blacks and the USA Rugby Eagles. The cost is $250 per person and all proceeds benefit the USA Rugby Trust and Rugby PA.

Dartmouth Women Win a Thriller Over a Talented Brown Side

Once again Dartmouth had home field advantage on a beautiful fall day for this weekend’s final Tier I Ivy Rugby Conference match against Brown. Once again all eyes were on Brophy Field as both teams provided thrilling entertainment for this weekend’s large homecoming crowd with inspirational runs, driving tackles, and ferocious team defense. Most notably, once again the Big Green women held out for the win to remain undefeated and on top when the final whistle blew, with another very narrow point spread against a very talented opponent.  

Cornell Men Look Strong in 44-19 Win Over Princeton

Cornell has proven to be the dominant team in the Ivy Rugby Conference's Southern Division this fall. After a convincing 44-19 win over Princeton this weekend, it's easy to see why people are predicting big things for the Big Red.

Penn Men Top Columbia On the Road, 42-30

The Fall 2013 season has not been particularly kind to Columbia. Despite several strong performances, their record sat at 1-2 coming into their home match against rival Penn this past Saturday. Columbia managed to put together a lead going into the final minutes of the match but a series of crucial mistakes as well as increasingly solid play on Penn's part led to a 42-30 win for the Quakers at Randall's Island field in New York City.

Harvard Women Shock Brown, 57-7

After their 10-5 loss to Dartmouth the week before, everyone was interested to see how Harvard's Women's Rugby Club would perform during their match against a powerful Brown squad. After the clock ended with Harvard up 57-7, everyone got their answer: Harvard should not be taken lightly. The Crimson came out firing on all cylinders Saturday, putting 26 points on the board before half while only allowing one try to the Big Green.
