Columbia Grits Past Penn To Win 21-17
A day of gut wrenching rugby ends in a win for Columbia women.
CUWRFC left the pitch victorious after 80 minutes of play on Sunday. Penn proved to be a tough opponent, playing quickly and aggressively in the rucks and making several impressive runs. The score went back and forth throughout the game, but a last minute try by Naomi Sharp CC'15 left Columbia with the win.
Columbia Men Defeat Princeton 27-14 at Baker
Columbia took a lead into halftime against Princeton lead by an Alex Plana and Petey Palello. In the second half, Plana, Pablo and a try by Michael Poage put it away for Columbia. Princeton tries by Nick Martin and Etienne Gallant kept the Tigers in the contest.

The Quakers Score a Road Win Over the Big Red
On a crisp autumn day at Cornell’s pitch the University of Pennsylvania Quakers and the Cornell Big Red battled to a 33-16 final. Penn, coming off a tie with the Princeton Tigers, looked to establish an early tempo.
Dartmouth Women Fall to Brown 10-0
Brown continued its dominance over Dartmouth beating the Big Green for the 7th consecutive year with a score of 10-0.
Cornell Women Weekend Warriors Over Yale
Cornell gained it's first division victory this weekend over the Yale Women with a score of 60-12.
Brown Dartmouth All Tied Up In Ivy North
Brown’s resilience was tested as the Bears gave up two early converted tries in the first 12 minutes of the match before outscoring Dartmouth 23 to 9 over the final 65 minutes of play and not conceding another try to tie the Ivy League’s most dominant rugby program over the last 16 years.
Although there had been some rain early in the day, field conditions were excellent and there was not rain during the afternoon.

Dartmouth hosts the Brown men vying for a spot at the top of their division, coming in tied to this weekend's match. Please note: in the women's South Division, Columbia vs Penn has been moved to Sunday afternoon at 12:00.

Ivy Fall Rugby Season Begins!
Saturday promises to be a full day of rugby with all the Ivy League mens and womens teams taking the field. A welcome shout-out to Cornell and Penn Women, who have just joined the Ivy Rugby Conference!
Last Saturday, Dartmouth hosted rival Harvard on the bucolic Brophy Field to kick off the 2012-13 Ivy Rugby 15s season. It proved to be an excellent start to the season for the Big Green, who did well on both sides of the ball, shutting out the Crimson while putting up 60 points on attack.

Cornell hosted the University of Waterloo, from Ontario, Canada over Labor Day weekend in their first contest of the season. The team highly anticipated this game coming off a successful 4-1 spring season. The match played on a scorching Saturday afternoon began as a contested battle with both teams drawing a score to make it 5-5 in the opening ten minutes. Waterloo’s high-octane offense kicked into gear afterwards scoring forty-one unanswered points in to the half with credit to great ball movement along their back line.
