Brown Dominates in Season Opener With Cornell
The varsity Brown women’s squad overwhelmed Cornell on Saturday, defeating their hosts 70-0 during Cornell’s homecoming weekend.
Brown was first to strike at the 3 minute mark, overturning a Cornell scrum at their defending 30m. Scrumhalf Mel Dincer '17 moved the ball to wing, Uzo Okoro '16 dotted the ball in the right corner for an opening score of 5-0.
Though tough and scrappy, Cornell never really found against Brown as scores from the Bears came rapidly due to the strength of the forwards and speed of the backs.
