Big Green Splits Weekend in Dartmouth Rugby Classic
On a beautiful Labor Day weekend in Hanover, Dartmouth kicked off their fall season with a pair of tough tests against top Canadian sides Queen’s University and McGill University as part of the Dartmouth Rugby Classic presented by Rockwood and Royall Rugby. Although The Big Green had a tough start opening game against Queen’s, losing 36-0, they bounced back nicely to defeat McGill 32-15 to get a split on the weekend. Overall, both games were good experiences that helped a 1st XV looking to break in several new starters improve, according to Captain and No. 8 Paul Jarvis ’12.

Dartmouth to Host the Rockwood RoyallRugby Classic Labor Day Weekend
After a successful spring highlighted by taking the title at the USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC), Dartmouth Rugby will return its focus to the 15-man version of the game Labor Day weekend as part of the annual Dartmouth Rugby Classic presented by Rockwood and Royall Lyme.The classic, as usual, will bring some of the best sides in the US and Canada to Hanover with McGill University, Queen’s University, and traditional rivals Army taking part.
Columbia Women Gain First Ivy Victory over Yale 28-22
On a beautiful, warm autumn afternoon, the Columbia women's rugby team hosted Yale, and, led by fullback Isadora Cerullo's three tries and four conversions, earned their first League victory 28-22 to conclude play for the women in their inaugural Ivy Rugby Conference season. Columbia had leads of 9 points (twice) and 11 points; but Yale closed within a single score each time, matching try for try, though they ultimately were never able to regain the lead.

Yale scored first in just the second minute on turnover ball from midfield, conversion missed, 0-5 Yale.
Dartmouth Drops Tough League Match to Harvard 27-12
The DWRC lost in an all-out battle 27-12 to Harvard, who are back in Division I after winning the 2011 DII National Championship. Despite enjoying the majority of possession in the first half, The Big Green failed to capitalize on several opportunities in Harvard territory, with key handling errors preventing them from getting on the board.
Brown Women 29 - Harvard Women 8
Brown remained undefeated in Ivy play with a messy 29-8 win over a scrappy Harvard side. The wet field benefited Harvard as it slowed down the pace and allowed the big Harvard forwards to bully Brown off the ball.
