Harvard women's rugby's season-opening contest against Quinnipiac Sept. 17, 2013. The match marked the first for Harvard as a varsity program.

First-ever varsity rugby match for Harvard

In its first-ever contest as a varsity program, the Harvard women's rugby team dropped a 39-10 decision to Quinnipiac Tuesday night on Cumnock Field. The Crimson held the possession advantage for much of the first half, but two quick strikes from the Bobcats left Harvard in a 12-0 hole at the half.

Harvard Women Rolls Over Visiting Yale

Harvard continued the trend of women's teams celebrating the beginnings of new eras as they won big at home against Yale 84-0 in their first Ivy Conference game as a varsity team. New head coach Sue Parker led her team in a match in which all of Harvard's captains scored.

Princeton Women Cruise to 53-7 Win Over Penn

Princeton made sure Chris Ryan's first game as their head coach was a memorable one as they defended their home turf and beat Penn, 53-7.

Harvard Wins Close Match at Brown

A solid defensive performance by man of the match Ethan Winchell and a late-game try by John Jeffers locked up an impressive Harvard comeback victory on the road over host Brown. The Crimson were able to overcome a first half in which Brown dominated possession by playing outstanding defense and consistently taking advantage of their opponents' miscues.

Brown convincing win over Columbia (W) at Barker Field

Fall 2012 Division Champion Brown started off their Fall 2013 schedule on the road with a huge win at Columbia. The Columbia Women's Rugby Club, a squad that went 1-2 in league play last fall, had a rough start against Brown.

Brown won convincingly 105-nil.

Cornell shocks Columbia in home opener for Ivy South foes

Cornell Rugby took the win this past Saturday over visiting Columbia University by a margin of 39-15. The win, coupled will a well deserved bonus point for scoring more than four tries, vaults the Big Red into first place in the Ivy Rugby Conference South Division. Cornell last saw such heights when they suffered a trying defeat at the hands of Dartmouth in the 2005 Ivy Rugby Championship match held in Conshohocken, PA.

Dartmouth Men Put 91 on the Board Against Yale

Dartmouth ventured south this weekend for their first regular season matchup with the Bulldogs.  Ivy League North foe Yale had proved tough in past years, but the Big Green got off to a quick start and were able to establish control early.  The final tally on Yale’s pitch came to 91-0 in favor of Dartmouth. 

Penn Men Beat Tough Princeton Side 24-17

In a battle of two teams separated by a few miles of I-195, the Penn Men's squad pulled out a tough 24-17 win over Princeton at home.

Dartmouth Defeats Crimson in Season Opener

Hanover, NH – Dartmouth opened the 2013 Ivy League campaign with a victory on home turf over the Harvard Crimson.  Captain Madison Hughes ’15 led the way with twenty-five points and despite Harvard’s late surge the Big Green went on to win by a final tally of 35-18 on Brophy Field.

The Big Green entered today’s Ivy League opener coming off a preseason schedule that featured the likes of Ontario powerhouse Queens University, Quebec champions McGill, and Middlebury among others. The Crimson proved to be another tough test.
