2011 Men's All-Ivy Rugby Conference
Congratulations to all the men who achieved All-Ivy honors for the 2011-2012 season. A Brown front row anchored by Princeton's Quinn and Dartmouth's Brakeley start things off for this year's All-Ivy selections. Brown and Dartmouth share the rest of the honors lead by sophomore scrum half Matt Leonard of Brown and freshman sensation Madison Hughes of Dartmouth College.

San Diego State leading 18-12 held on defencively as Tennessee made a late surge near the SDSU line. After clearing their end with a long kick, SDSU scored on a long break with no time on the clock to seal the deal and a victory over a tough Tennessee side. The win earns SDSU the right to play for the national championship tomorrow.

Playing in its final four since 1988, Dartmouth Rugby will look to take another step towards a national title tonight when they take on Davenport University in the semifinals of the 2012 Emirates Airline USA Rugby Men’s Division I-AA College National Championship. The match, which features the top two teams in the division according to Rugbymag.com’s rankings, will kick off at 7 p.m. EST in Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT, home of Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake.

The Brown Women's Rugby Team was defeated by Stanford 46-5 ending a great run by the women of the ivy league. Brown finishes the season #3 in the country. They can be very proud of their accomplishment.
After setbacks, Columbia rugby team on the rise
By the end of the fall season, the Columbia Rugby Football Club was in shambles. After a posting a 1-8 league season with just a lone win over Brown and developing a bad reputation due to poor sideline behavior, trash talking, and dangerous play, the club recognized that change was necessary. When Josh Tobin, CC’13, was elected president in late November, he sat the team down for a talk.

Dartmouth Loses to Davenport 35-18: XVs Season Ends in National Semifinals
Over the past nine months, the Dartmouth Rugby first XV has had a pretty good run, winning an Ivy Rugby Conference championship, capturing the league’s automatic bid to the 2012 Emirates Airline USA Rugby Men’s Division I-AA National Championship, and advancing all the way to the final four of that tournament. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and for the Big Green that end came Friday. Despite putting up a good fight, the team lost to a strong Davenport side 35-18 to close their season.
Dartmouth Rallies After Slow Start, Beats Stony Brook 42-12 to Advance to Final Four
Taking the field for the last time this season at the Corey Ford Rugby Clubhouse, Dartmouth Rugby gave their fans something they hadn’t seen all year: a comeback. Thanks to a slow start and some nice play from their opponents, The Big Green found themselves in a 12-0 hole within the first 10 minutes in their match Sunday against Stony Brook in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Emirates Airline USA Rugby Men’s Division I-AA National Championship.
