Three Peat Hopes Dashed by UCLA

Aiming at a third consecutive 7s title , Dartmouth Rugby returned to PPL Park for the 2013 USA 7s CRC in Philadelphia, PA, May 31 to June 2. . Dartmouth went on a tear through Pool B, defeating Penn, UW-Madison, and most memorably, last year's finalists, Arizona, in a thrilling comeback that came down to the final possession.

Penn v. Dartmouth

Dartmouth was able to dominate the Quakers in their first CRC match of 2013 winning 32-nil. Dartmouth Men seems ready to do it again in 2013. The Ivy Rugby Conference Champion Dartmouth is the CRC Champion of 2011 and 2012. Both Penn and Dartmouth have their work cut out as Wisconsin looked good in spurts against a dominate Arizona team in their first match.

Dartmouth Men Win Big Over Yale at Homecoming

Dartmouth hosted Yale this past weekend in front of a terrific Homecoming crowd at Brophy Field.  It was the teams’ second meeting and the Big Green’s last home match of the fall XVs season.  Yale had been playing good rugby in recent weeks and Dartmouth went into the game looking to implement the systems and goals they’d been working towards in practice and improve on their previous performance. The Big Green scored first and played strongly for eighty minutes en route to an 81-12 victory.

Brown @ Harvard (M)

Brown and Harvard are all tied in the North and in second place. The winner will have the edge for qualifying for the playoffs. Harvard won the first match on the road at Brown giving them the edge as the Bears travel north to Harvard's home turf.

Nick Moore leads Harvard Men over Yale

Harvard held a one point margin at the break 14-13, with an intense first half of back and forth rugby. Harvard then managed to outscore Yale in the second half by four  tries to just one led by fly half Nick Moore '14.

Dartmouth women

Exciting Spring for Dartmouth Women!

The Dartmouth Women’s Rugby Club started out the spring season with an exciting tour in Vancouver, B.C., Victoria, B.C., and Seattle, WA. The DWRC played three tough teams, defeating the University of Washington by a large margin and falling to two experienced Canadian teams, the Nanaimo Hornets and the University of Victoria.  All were hard-fought games that prepared the team for the difficult spring season to come.
