Cornell 37 - Cortland 25
Coming off a tough fall campaign against all ivy foes, Cornell took the win versus cross-town rival Colgate. The Cornell Men's A side defeated Cortland Wednesday 37 - 25.
"This game with Cortland was definitely a well earned win. We were rusty but showed flashes of what we are capable of doing when we work as a cohesive unit. Throughout, we had players that were relentless and wanted to drive the ball forward; for example, our lead scorer with 4 tries, Paolo Reis, used his strength to break tackles, leading him into the try zone, and our first half scrum half and second half winger Mawuli Gbedema demonstrated his speed and agility to rip through the wide open defensive holes. There is still much room for improvement and I'm sure the rest of our team will be able to compete with same intensity of these two players. Overall it was a good start to the spring season and we can't wait to get our there again to play some more." Captain Benja Davies
