Yale Wins National Title

Yale Women's Rugby made program history by winning its first national title at the Collegiate Rugby Championships. The Bulldogs entered the two-day national tournament as a four-seed, upsetting top-seeded Endicott College (17-7) in the quarterfinal and three-seeded Colby College (7-5) in the semis.

Yale then defeated Gannon University 31-7 Sunday in the Women’s Small College final to win the first national title in program history. Lael Joseph was named the tournament MVP, leading the Bulldogs with 32 points on the weekend.
