Brown University Second XV vs. Cornell University Second XV
Brown wins 22 to 17 against Cornell. Team spirit and camaraderie are high in this group with some in contention for first XV play, but all playing well together.
The Bears ran out to a fast start with first half tries by backs Soti George, Will Zeller and Jack Kirkpatrick and two conversions by Campbell O’Conor. With two 30 minute halves this was the first full second XV match in several weeks. This starting line-up was dominant and held Cornell scoreless in the first half.
The second half was a different story with Cornell scoring three tries to but a penalty kick for the Bears. With five minutes left in the match and Brown clinging to a 5 point lead, the team shut down Cornell the rest of the way to snatch a well earned victory.
