Brown Tops Princeton on the Road, 34-24

In one of the most entertaining matches of the season, Brown was able to hold an impressive early lead on the road against a resilient Princeton team and win, 34-24.

Coming off of their 105-0 win from last week, Brown ran up a 34-5 lead going into the second half and looked like they were going to put more on the board until Princeton turned it around and started to assert themselves offensively. In the last fifteen minutes of the game, Princeton went on a 17-0 run to cut Brown’s lead to 10; the game ended with Princeton threatening to score again on the Brown goal line. It was a tough, physical game between two top-notch Ivy Rugby squads.

Both Brown and Princeton will be in action next week. Princeton will travel to Dartmouth’s Brophy Field to take on the Big Green, while Brown will return home to face a Harvard side that’s coming off a tough 10-5 loss.
