Harvard Writeup

In order to tighten their grip on second place in the ivy league Harvard needed a decisive victory against Princeton. A well placed Princeton kick lead to an unconverted try and gave the visiting team and early 5-0 lead however Harvard’s scrum half Jaime Zobel ‘13 was quick to respond leveling the score 5-5 midway through the first half. Outside Center Will Peck ‘12 added a try off of some excellent backline passing which was subsequently converted by Fullback Max de la Cal to put Harvard up 12-5. Despite the fact that Flanker Jeff Overall was sent off Harvard managed to hold on to the lead for the duration of the half.

Princeton began the second half with an early try closing the gap however a strong five meter run by Spencer Desena sealed the victory for Harvard, whose scrum continues to dominate the opposition.
