USA 7s Collegiate Rugby Championship
The USA 7s Collegiate Rugby Championship tournament, slated for 2013 in Philadelphia, has released a list of 19 of the 20 teams that will participate in next year's tournament. The list includes two teams from the Ivy Rugby Conference. Dartmouth, two-time defending champion and 2012 Ivy Rugby Conference champion, will return to try to 3-peat in 2013. The University of Pennsylvamia, with their recent crowning as Ivy South champion and runner-up in the Ivy Sevens Championships was also invited.
Penn Women's First Year in Ivy Rugby Conference
Penn Women took the plunge this year and joined the Ivy League. Unsure of what to expect, the vets worked hard on recruting during the off season, bringing a wealth of rookies to the team.

Twenty two of Brown’s rugby squad traveled to Yale University to participate in a one day 7’s tournament in preparation for the Ivy 7’s Championship on November 10th at Princeton University.
Brown’s 7’s coach and ex USA Eagle 7’s player, John McGeachy has begun to transition the team over from the 15’s game into the more open 7’s style of play. With very little time to prepare, the players responded well with the hope that the weekend was enough to prepare the squad to take on the other Ivy teams next weekend. Thirteen Brown freshmen participated.
Time Lapse of a Day of Rugby at Yale
Yale Sevens was played just a few days after the horrific storm that devastated the eastern seaboard. Teams traveled from Dartmouth College, Harvard University and Brown University to participate in the Yale University hosted one-day event.

The fall 2012 15s season was a little different than the norm in the Ivies this time around. The men broke into North and South divisions for the first time while the women split into upper and lower tiers of play. The change was due, in part, to the inclusion of sevens rugby into the fall season which will culminate with a championship tournment at Princeton University on November 10th.
