Derek Fish leads Dartmouth over Big Red 74-5
Hanover, NH - Dartmouth continued its march to the 2010 Ivy League title with its sixth straight win: a 74-5 thrashing of visiting Cornell. In so doing, Dartmouth’s record improved to 6-0, while Cornell’s declined to 1-5.
Derek Fish led all Dartmouth scorers with 24 points (2 tries, 7 conversions); while Ian Hogg led the Dartmouth’s try scorers with three.
Dartmouth went out 48-0 halftime lead (8 tries, 4 conversions) and scored 26 more points (4 tries, 3 conversions) following intermission.
60th Anniversary Weekend A Success for Dartmouth
October 9, Hanover, NH – Dartmouth was able to test the limits of the new 1959 Touring Squad Scoreboard this weekend in their first Ivy home match of the year against Brown. Meanwhile, on the sidelines 60th anniversary celebration was in full swing. More than 150 former players, their family members, and guests attended the event to celebrate multiple generations of Dartmouth rugby excellence on and off the field.

New to our rankings this week are New Mexico and Columbia, both of which have been quietly beavering away in their respective regions to compile winning records. They enter the rankings at the expense of North Carolina and Georgia.
Ivy Rugby Conference Results Round Four
It was the the Big Green of Dartmouth who made a big splash in round four of the Ivy League Rugby Conference competition as they moved to 4-0 with a huge victory over Brown. The Big Red of Cornell moved from last to fifth with a win over Penn and Columbia took over sole possession of 2nd place with a win over Princeton 22-12.

Brown scored 3 tries in the first 20 minutes of the match for a 19-0 lead. Yale scored a first half try for a 19-7 halftime score. Yale scored @ 55 minutes and pressed the match but a Brown try at 77 minutes sealed the win.
Dartmouth blanks Harvard to clinch Ivy title
Dartmouth started off facing into a stiff wind on this blustery October Saturday. The Green received the first kick, and it quickly became clear that the match would be physical, with Harvard contesting Dartmouth possession at every ruck. Senior fullback Carl Zehner ’11 was first to score, running in a try off of a brilliant transition line break. Derek Fish ’12 found the posts, and the Green were up 7-0 early on in the half. After some back-and-forth possession, a knock-on brought about a scrum where the Green pack were able to steal possession, putting the ball in Will Lehmann
Yale sets the tone early, Dan O'Brien scores and the try is converted by Ryan Vandersloot 3 minutes into the match. Penn fights back and hits a penalty kick. In minutes 17, 26, and 36, Yale scores 3 converted tries down the side line.
In the second half, Penn tightened up it defense. Penn scores a converted try in the 15th minute. Yale responds with converted tries in the 21st and 40th minute.

Harvard 1st XV defeat Penn 48-15
In order to have a crack at second place in the Ivy League Harvard needed to put up a decisive win in their first of back to back home games this weekend. Harvard began the match attacking into a gale force wind which slowed them out of the gate. Backs had difficulty putting a foot on the ball and knock ons plagued both sides for the first half. Harvard’s forward pack, on the other hand, was dominant winning both side’s scrums with authority.
