After defeating Weber state in the first match, Yale played Indiana University to a 12-12 tie.

Game Summary

Indiana scored an early try to take the lead (5-0).  A few minutes later, Mack Hull scored a try which was converted by Sam Power to take a half lead (7-5).  In the second half, Mack Hull scored his second try of the game (3rd of the day) and Yale took the lead (12-5).  Indiana scored a late converted try to tie the match.  Final result was 12-12. 

After a solid day, Yale still needs to defeat Central Washington, who scored 90 points in their first two matches, to guarantee a second round birth.  However, Yale does have an advantage in point differential over the other two remaining teams.   Day 1, Pool 2 A standings are as follows:
