Spring 2013 Tour to the Bahamas
CURFC is back from our successful spring tour to the Bahamas. After a hard week of practice and two successful games, we have returned bronzer, a little sore, better at rugby, and a lot closer as a team. Check our page for updates on our upcoming home games!
Both games were against select-side Bahamian club teams. CURFC played four 25 minute quarters and were losing 21-19 at the half. After rolling in subs, Columbia lost 35-19.

After talking so much before the game about how focused Princeton needed to be to be to withstand Brown’s devastating centers and their outside speed, the Tigers gave up a try 41 seconds into the match. Princeton mishandled the opening KO, Brown's inside center smashed it up and their outside center, Eflo, scored an unconverted try. Just one minute into the match, Brown made it look like they were going to have an easy time of it.
Princeton defeat Harvard and Advance to the Finals
This match was all Princeton from the start. Princeton scored 9 tries in the contest with 8 different players touching down. An analysis by Princeton coach Emil Signes below shows that, although the score was lop-sided, Harvard gave Princeton significant pressure and Princeton earned their points during the afternoon.
Dartmouth Women take Third
The Dartmouth Women Rugby Club faced off against Harvard on Sunday at Brown's Marvel Field. The match is for 3rd place in the Ivy Rugby Conference.
Brown defeats Dartmouth 47-10 in SemiFinal Action
Dartmouth fell 47-10 to Brown in the first match of the Ivy League Final Four Tournament in Providence, RI. Brown's Elisha scored a try in the second minute. Brown never looked back taking down the Big Green in a lop-sided affair.
Yale Downs URI 4 Trys to 3
Yale traveled to URI and wins 20-15. Yale scored four unconverted trys by Connor Brooks, Jacob Woocher, Jamie Silvera and Dalton Carr.
NJ State Rugby Championship
Hosted by the Princeton University Men's and Women's Rugby Clubs, this year's New Jersey State Intercollegiate Rugby Championship will be at Rickerson Field on the West Windsor Campus on Washington Rd, between Route 1 and the center of Princeton. The public is welcome and admission and parking is free.

200 people gathered at the New York Athletic Club on March 1st, 2013 to celebrate the Dartmouth Rugby Football Club's (DRFC) 2nd-in-a row national 7s rugby championship.
At the celebration the DRFC recognized and honored Dick Liesching (on the left with his wife Diane) as a legend of the club. He was presented with a large, free-standing glass plaque inscribed with the words "In honor and recognition of your leadership, spirit, passion and undying commitment to the Dartmouth Rugby Football Club."
