Dartmouth Women Finish 4-2 in Vegas
Despite their Head Coach's warning of a side lacking experience, Dartmouth Women came out firing Thursday morning at the Las Vegas 7s Invitational. By the end of the tournament Dartmouth racked up four wins finishing with a 17-0 drubbing of Notre Dame for a fifth place trophy.
Ashley O. Afranie-Sakyi clearly lead all women in scoring for the entire tournament scoring 10 trys and leading the Big D in their wins over the University of Guelph, Stonybrook twice and Notre Dame.

Ashley Afranie-Sakyi started the scoring for the Big Green. Karoline Walter quickly added another, before Guelph scored just before half.
Halftime: Dartmouth 14 - Guelph 7.
Afranie-Sakyi added one more unconverted try.

DWRC falls to BYU 21-5, DWRC lone unconverted try by Ashley Afranie-Sakyi.
Dartmouth 17 - Stonybrook 14
Matty Sturm scored twice including a try within a few seconds of kickoff to give DWRC an early lead. Afranie-Sakyi added a try and a conversion to round out the scoring as Dartmouth went on to beat Stonybrook by 3 points. Final Dartmouth 17 - Stonybrook 14.
Dartmouth 7 University of British Columbia Okanagan 17
After going 2 and 1 on day one, DWRC went into the second day of competition 2nd seed in their pool, taking on UBC Okanagan. DWRC held the powerful UBC Okanagan, a varsity program in western Canada in the first half with agressive tackling. UBCO 7 - Dartmouth 0 at the half. Another try for UBCO to open up the 2nd half put the Big D in a hole 0-12. DWRC came right back with a try by Sabrina Amaro and a conversion by Afranie-Sakyi. DWRC 7- UBCO 12 UBC. Unfortunately a late UBCO try sealed the victory for Canada.

Dartmouth 27 - Stony Brook University 0
Playing Stonybrook for the second time in the tournament, Dartmouth came out strong with Afranie-Sakyi starting the scoring with a try and conversion. Trys by Ginna Roach and Ashley Afranie-Sakyi put the match out of reach early. Dartmouth scrummaging dominated Stonybrook throughout. after an awesome save in the scrum

Once again Ashley Afranie-Sakyi dominated the scoring
Afranie-Sakyi scored two unconverted first half trys to give DWRC a 10-0 lead at the half. Afranie-Sakyi scores, Karoline Walter converts, then Afranie-Sakyi adds one more converted score. Final DWRC 24 - ND 0.
