CURFC Earns Split on Southern Tour

CURFC on Beach

CURFC travelled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this past week for the club's annual Spring Tour. The tour began with a tough matchup against Carolina Cup champions UNC-Wilmington. CURFC fought hard in the first half, but UNCW was able to pull away in the second, with Columbia eventually falling 35-13.

After a week of two-a-day training (and the occasional beach walk-through) with Coaches Dan Kennedy and Zack Lane, Columbia took on Coastal Carolina.

Armed with a number of new plays, improved fitness, and an increased sense of brotherhood, CURFC was able to fight back for a late 12-10 win to conclude the tour. The club will be looking to carry this success and growth into the remainder of our Spring season and into April's Ivy 15's Tournament.
