Columbia women in a scrum

CUWRFC finished their second 15s season as a member of the Ivy Rugby Conference with a record of 1-4, coming in third place in the White Division.

The season started off with a tough loss to Dartmouth. The next weekend, CUWRFC defeated Penn 21-17 on their home pitch. The game-winning try occurred during the last play of the game, in which there were about 10 minutes of tough phase play inside Penn's 22 meter line before Naomi Sharp ('15) touched the ball down on the far left corner. Isadora Cerullo ('13) scored two tries and made three conversions.

CUWRFC suffered a difficult loss to Yale 36-17, but the match featured solid play by the Columbia ruggers, especially in the last ten minutes, which was ended by a try in the final play by Savannah Woods ('14).

In the last 15's game of the season, CUWRFC hosted Cornell losing 41-29, in what was definitely the most solid game of the season for CUWRFC. In this match, Cerullo and Mel Peterson ('13) scored two tries in two minutes! The season was capped by CUWRFC's presence at the Ivy 7's tournament at Princeton, in which the Columbia women went 2-1-1, and placed 3rd.
