Brown University Women Heading to the Final Four

Though exhausted, the Brown University Women are a pretty happy, yet hungry, bunch. We're expecting big things from them in the final four!

The Brown Women beat UC Davis 17-12 to advance to the USA Rugby Final 4. Brown dominated a big UC Davis squad in the loose but had a hard time getting points on the board. Alex Hartley '10 got the scoring started 25 minutes in off a lineout to put Brown up 5-0. In the second half, Emilie Bydwell '08 broke through for a 50 meter run, Katie Glerum converted and Brown led 12-0. UC Davis stormed back with 2 trys and tied the match with less then 5 minutes remaining. It looked like UC Davis had the momentum. With a little over 2 minutes left Brown executed a beautiful play off a lineout to win the match 17-12.
