Dartmouth defeats Penn in a rare double header weekend for the Big Green

Dartmouth defeated Penn 67-8 Sunday on the second stop of their quick Mid-Atlantic tour. The game took place at historic Franklin Field on Penn's campus.

- After some delay, the teams have all set to begin. Penn will kick. Aldredge will look to set the tone.

- The Penn line out hits the back tower, works through hands and after a quick ruck goes wide. Zhu takes them into touch.
- Driscoll commands the rolling maul, but Penn turns them over before knocking on just over midfield. Green win the scrum.
- Maguire makes 30 meters on the near side but the Penn scrum half chases him down before he can offload to Abraham.
- The teams trade kicks but Workie's finds touch and pins the Quakers deep inside their 22.

- The Green maul a line out deep in the Penn zone, creating space that Workie uses to find Oberg and then Abraham in the corner for a try.
- Oberg's conversion bounces off the football uprights. 5-0.
- Aldredges snags a high arcing restart, and Abraham wastes no time with ball in hand. He cruises through a gap and past the fullback for #2
- Oberg's conversion falls just short, knocking off the crossbar this time. 10-0
- Penn win the restart and spin wide. Henshaw looks to have poached, but the official pings him as off his feet.
- The Penn fly half slots the penalty from 25 meters. 10-3
- Penn scramble inside their own zone, and frantic handling a leads to a knock on. Englehart to feed.
- Brady's hard nosed running is for nought as support is scant and he's penalized for not releasing.
- But Penn's line out handling continues to dog them and the pack forces another turnover.
- DRFC scrum at the five. Aldredges scoops up a messy one, recycles but Workie's run is forced into touch.
- Penn looks to evacuate their zone and kick for touch. The line out is clean, and worked through to Oberg and Brady
- Brady's gorgeous offload sees Maguire to the in-goal, but the official says Penn held him up.
- The veteran Warnquist with a crafty turnover. The Green continue to press.
- Brady appears to be gutting out a tough injury. His running has kept Penn off balance.
- The Green are held up again, but Abraham dazzles with speed and footwork following the scrum. He's in for his third.
- Oberg converts straight ahead 17-3.
- After the deep restart, the seas part for Hannam who goes for 35 m, but his pass to Abraham is errant
- Penn win the scrum and cross the 50. The ref awards them penalty after an ugly ruck.
- Aldredge darts through a huge gap and is tackled but plays it quickly to Workie, whose looping pass hits Nkoy.
- After a few more phases, Hannam spots an overlap and is gone for his second try. Oberg converts. 24-3.
- Both teams continue to battle, but Maguire, now at center, finds the space. A useful dummy sends him over the line. Oberg converts. 31-3.

- The Quakers are making the Green work for hard for every meter of historic Franklin Field turf.

- Workie's kick starts the second half. Penn's offloads work well, but they're off their feet at the ruck.
- Driscoll quick taps and catches the Quakers napping. He goes 40m for a try. 38-3. Oberg converts.
- Gudmundsson handles a tricky restart. The Green recycle and Workie's boot finds touch from inside the 22.
- Green turnover the line out and hard forward runners create space for Aldredge to dance around one defender.
- Quick ball at the ruck yields more space for Abraham, and the Canadian scores again in the corner.
- Oberg's conversion from the corner goes wanting. 43-3.
- Penn mauls an attacking line out, but a mistimed strike move forces a knock on
- A messy Penn scrum leads to a messy Penn maul, but Dartmouth comes in from the side in the next ruck. Penn attack from 5m
- The stout Green defense aren't conceding it. Driscoll with a huge front up tackle. Workie leading the line up quickly.
- But Dartmouth is off their feet again. Penn quick tap but go nowhere. The Green pack aren't giving it up.

- Oberg's kick relieves pressure, allowing tough forward runners to pound the defense and create space for a probing Workie kick.
- Green line out on Penn's five meter line.
- The pack mauls it over the line for a gritty team try. Oberg's conversion goes wide. 48-3.
- The teams trade kicks, but Penn's finds Workie with space. He dances and dummies his way across the fifty and finds Aldredge for 10m more.
- But Dartmouth is pinged for crossing, and Penn will try to stay on the front foot inside the 22.
- A cheeky Dartmouth penalty in their own zone is take a quickly and the Quakers are over for their first try. Conv. wide. 48-8.

- Englehart pokes the ball loose from a charging Quaker, Aldredge scoops it up and feeds Nkoy who doesn't look back. Workie conv. wide. 53-8
- Benny Goodman on for Workie.
- Goodman slots into scrum half and Englehart takes a stab at first receiver. M. Hannam on for Maguire.
- Pichardo on for Abraham.
- Englehart wraps around M. Hannam in a pretty strike move. They recycle quickly and move through hands to find Hannam again who scores.
- Englehart chooses a drop goal to convert. 60-8.
- Penn is offside at the line out. Driscoll sets them up again after the Englehart kick.
- Penn is offside again at a maul, and B. Hannam quick taps down to the 5.
- Aldredge picks from the back of a scrum and puts his head down through two Penn defenders. Conv good. 67-8
- A Quaker penalty misses touch, but so does Nkoy's response. Penn with multiple phases around the 50, but few meters to be gained.
- Hannam turns over and a quick kick finds touch.
