Ivy Week Seven—Women: Dartmouth, Princeton Roll

Princeton has had an up-and-down fall that includes some convincing wins and hard-fought losses. With last weekend's 62-0 blanking of Columbia, the Tigers show that they are a team worthy of respect coming into the Women's 15s Tournament. Dartmouth took care of Yale, while Cornell shut out Penn.

Ivy Week Seven—Men: Harvard Defeats Cornell in Major Test

Harvard still must face Dartmouth (on Nov. 14) but proved they belong at or near the top of the Ivies with a convincing win over Cornell last weekend. Penn won a hard-fought contest over Princeton; a win over Brown this weekend would likely catapult the Quakers out of last place and into mid-tier contention.

Princeton Women at Dartmouth Women

HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s rugby team defeated Princeton, 44-5, Saturday morning in the semifinal of the Ivy Rugby Conference Championship at Brophy Field.

The Big Green (6-1) advanced to Sunday’s championship game at 1:30 p.m. where they will play Brown who beat Harvard, 27-17. Dartmouth took the regular season meeting, 8-5, between the two back in early October.

Brown defeated Harvard, 27-17 to advance to the Ivy final against Dartmouth. Harvard will play Princeton.

Brown and Harvard battled it out on Battle Field at Dartmouth College's Corey Ford rugby grounds. This was one of two semifinal matches in the fall women's Ivy 15s Championships.  

Harvard 33 - Cornell 24

Harvard defeated Cornell 33-24 on a muddy Halloween match-up in Ithaca.

Princeton too much for Columbia

The Princeton Tigers defeated the women of Columbia in a Halloween head-to-head at Rickerson Field. Tigers won 62-0.

Dartmouth defeats Yale 63-0

Dartmouth defeated Yale at the New Haven Rugby Club by a score of 63-0. The Big Green enter next weekend’s Ivy Rugby 15’s Tournament in Hanover with a 5-0 league record and a 5-1 overall mark to go along with a four-game unbeaten streak.

Freshman scrumhalf Kat Ramage lead the scoring with 19 points, 10 from a pair of tries and eight from four successful conversions, while senior co-captain Tatjana Toeldte notched 17 of her own with a team-high three tries.

After the game, both teams socialized together by watching New Zealand defeat Australia in the Rugby World Cup final.

Penn Men Defeat Princeton 29-10

Forwards played a great game yet the Tigers still suffered a tough loss. Penn 29 - Princeton 10.

Princeton Man of the Match went to William Jenner '18, who played his heart out and led from the front. Congratulations to Mr. Jenner.

Princeton crossed the Delaware for a match with the Quakers. As of Friday 10/30, game time has been moved to noon on Saturday, Oct. 31 due to scheduling conflicts. The match was played at noon at Penn.

Cornell Women 35 - Penn 0

Penn traveled to Cornell for a Halloween clash. Cornell took the match 35-0. Cornell raised their Ivy record to 3-2 with the win.

Ivy Week Six—Men: Dartmouth Doubles Down; Harvard, Cornell Keep Pace

Week six for the Ivy men saw Dartmouth play two Mid-Atlantic matches and win both. Harvard won a close contest with Columbia to remain undefeated, while Cornell took care of Brown to remain in third.
