Dartmouth sloshed its way to a tough win in the rain, downing a perennial rival and previously unbeaten Harvard side 31‐0. Rain had already soaked Brophy for a week as drizzle hung in the air throughout the match, the skies occasionally opening up to pour on the players.

They quickly put Princeton on the back foot and Freshman Scrum-half Adam Webb scored by going on the blind-side of a ruck in the 5th minute

After a victory against Penn, Harvard made the trip to Princeton for the second game of the 2009 Fall Season. The starting XV looked rested and recovered after their match the day before, and the HRFC hoped to repeat their dominating performance.

Writeup from Harvard Rugby Football Club The match opened with some strong play from the Crimson forwards, and HRFC President Charlie Boutwell ‘10 started off with a quick try. Boutwell was named Man of the Match Saturday and closed the weekend with strong play all around.

Cambridge, Mass. - Harvard won its third straight match of the new Ivy League Series with an eleven try, 69-10 dismantling of Brown.

Dan Deighton led Harvard with five tries while Jonny Miller contributed 19 points from a try and seven conversions. Harvard started Round Three with high spirits after a solid week of training. They went out to a 31-6 halftime lead on tries by Deighton (2), Xander Groeneveld (2) and Jonny Miller; with Miller adding three conversions. Sam Rabb’s two penalty kicks accounted for Brown’s first-half scoring.
