Kathy Flores to Be Inducted Into U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame

Brown women’s rugby coach Kathy Flores has been named one of eight 2016 inductees into the U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame. An awards ceremony and dinner will take place June 4 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, during the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship.

Flores’ legendary rugby career includes leading the Florida State University team to four national titles while a player/coach, coaching the USA Women’s National Team from 2002-2010, and founding the United States Women’s Rugby Foundation. She was Women’s Sports Foundation coach of the year in 2000, 2003 IRB Women’s Personality of the Year and USA Rugby Coach of the Year in 2014, a year Brown went undefeated and won the Ivy conference title.

United States Rugby Foundation Fundraiser

The dinner at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel is an important fundraiser for the United States Rugby Foundation.

There will be a cocktail reception from 6-7 p.m. Dinner is from 7-8 p.m., and the awards program is from 8-10 p.m. Individual seats can be purchased for $200 while a table for 10 costs $1,750.
