Brown Men 2nd XV @ Harvard Men

Saturday, October 1, 2011

With the field soggy from both the rain and the first XV match, scoring was expected to be low. The only first half points were from the foot of Brown outhalf Blair Cameron who scored 3 points on a penalty kick.

The second half was not unlike the first with both sides scrambling to overcome the muddy conditions.  After both teams traded messy opportunities deep inside each others  22, finally Brown #8, Eddie Friedman ’14, broke loose from a maul on the Brown 40 meter line and raced down the field.  A diving tackle brought him down at the two meter line, but not without him stretching out to touch down the first and only try of the match.  Blair Cameron ‘13 converted and Brown’s lead was extended to 10 – 0, which is where it remained at the final whistle.
