The Ivy League Rugby Championship
Teams from all eight Ivy League universities will be in attendance for the 41st annual 2009 Ivy League Rugby Championships. The 2009 event will, once again be hosted by Columbia and held in the campus in the soccer and rugby stadium. Though Saturday's events will be held on the campus of Yale University. Rumor has it that 2009 may be the last year for the Ivy tournament as big changes are brewing for Ivy rugby in the fall of 2009. The 2008 event was hosted by Columbia University RFC and dominated by Dartmouth. Dartmouth scored a combined 143 points to zippo for their opponents. It was a big weekend for the green! Preliminary reports are saying not much change in 2009. The predictions are another Dartmouth Domination. But, as they say, that's why they play the game. |
